Pet care experience
I’ve taken care of pets since middle school ranging from guinea pigs, birds, cats, strays, hamsters, dogs and fish. I’ve walked, bathed, fed, given meds, vet trips, bathed, brushed and nurtured many furry friends including my own! My dog lived to be 16. I adopted my current cat. I even trained my female cat named Garí to sit! Sometimes I think I like animals more than humans. 😊

Over and above service Melissa truly loves dogs you can just tell. She is very accommodating ... she spends time with them making sure he gets his belly rubs too...my guy is a senior with sight issues that can be stand offish who absolutely loved Melissa thank you for taking care of my dog like he was your own

Melissa has always been a pet person. She has owned cats, dogs, fish, and a Guinea pig. She is comfortable going to other’s homes to care for animals and is not against bringing them to our home for extra comfort. Please let me know if your dog has any special needs I can take care of. Also it’s good to know what your pet loves, where they like to be touched/where they don’t like to be touched. What is the best way to show affection to your pet? What are their fears such as sirens, thunder, fireworks etc. What does your pet do when it’s afraid? Do they hide? If so, where? Does your pet have any allergies or food sensitivities? Can I give treats? Can I bring my own small treats when I first meet your pet?
A typical day
Depending on the dog and the owners preferences, I like to follow the instructions I’m given. I love to go on walks, play fetch, give tummy rubs, brush, play with your pet and give lots of love. I’m good at teaching dogs to sit! I don’t mind taking a dog for a car ride also. I treat every animal like they are my own. ??
