Pet care experience
I have always had dogs since I was a little kid. My first childhood pet was a golden retriever named Vixie (like Fox and the Hound). Growing up my parents always tasked me with giving our dogs baths, walking them, playing with them, and being the one responsible for our pets. It taught me how to be responsible, nurturing, and a good caregiver. Later on as an adult, I have had dogs of my own as well. I love every kind of dog, and refer to even the biggest dogs as puppies. They are all sweet babies to me. In the past I’ve had experience with rescue animals, doing things like distributing medication when need be, potty training puppies, and walking and feeding my friends pets when need be. I would love to share my skills with others and help you care for your pet!

I wanted to let you know how awesome a Dog walker Melissa has been for our dog Rigby. Even though Rigby is under a year old, he weighs 84 pounds and is very strong. Melissa has been able to walk him with no issues at all. She sends a video of him while they are walking and he is clearly happy with her. Not only does she do a great job walking him, she makes sure his dog bowls are filled with water and food, so he never goes hungry or thirsty. We are very happy with Melissa, and will continue to use her in the future. We highly recommend her to anyone that is looking for a caring, compassionate dog walker! Thanks Geoff Lemasters
She is a Wonder-woman! She visited with my girls 3 times before I left and she took over caring for them. I wanted my girls to get used to her. Melissa is super accommodating and kept me updated. Love her!
Mellisa was took great care of our fur baby while we took a vacation, also she took the best pictures of our dog, highly recommend her.
Melissa has always loved animals since she was a little girl. She would always bring a stray kitten home that she found, or a puppy that lost its way and she would help find its owner. She is so compassionate, and loving when it comes to dogs. When our family dog passed away from cancer, Melissa took it extremely hard because he was like her baby. Anyone who has Melissa as a dog caregiver is lucky! She is nurturing and passionate about her work, and has a beautiful heart when it comes to animals.

I will be providing services in my clients homes. I will send a notification to my clients every single time I arrive at their home and greet their pet. I will update them accordingly with pictures, and texts letting them know how their pet is doing. If I am dog walking that day, I will provide the dog with water and food if the client requests feeding as well. I will play with the dog, and give him/her some affection and attention and some belly rubs and treats if again the client is requesting that or ok with treat giving. I will be open and flexible with however my client wishes for me to best care for their pet depending on which service I am providing that day.

A typical day
I love to play fetch and tug o war and exercise is great for all dogs! If the weather isn’t too hot, we will play outside and throw a ball around or a frisbee or whatever kind of toy the dog prefers. Something to get the zoomies out and some energy out! I love walking around parks, or places with shade so that the concrete doesn’t get too hot for the doggies paws.

Currently I am a stay at home mom and a free lance makeup artist, so my schedule is pretty flexible! I am available most weekdays, and pretty much any weekend if I don’t have anything specific scheduled.
