Caring+Reliable+Friendly Dog Walker

Pet care experience

I have experience with dogs and cats from an early age to elderly dogs with specific feeding, caring, walking, and medical habits for 15 years. I have a client, Brownie, that currently has walking care and feeding instructions along with nutrition and medication instructions that I attend to on a daily basis. Friends and family normally turn to me for pet care and advice. I currently have a rescued male Pitbull, Rocko, who is 14 years old. He is on a strict feeding diet along with special nutritional directions since his jaundice disease incident last year. I recently rescued an 11 month Doberman by the name of Jack-Jack. So, I am confident and comfortable handling large dogs as well as small breeds pets. I have performed allergy injections, oral-capsules medication, and properly administer the pet's nutrition as instructed.

Safety, trust & environment

If I would accept in-home care at my house, I have lots of free space in my house at every level. I have a clean roomy basement, spacious furnished 1st floor, and a cozy comfortable 2nd floor. While we are in the house, I will make sure the owner provides a clean doggy bed and their feeding bowls, toys, blankets, and food. They would be with me or if they want their own space, I can provide a home space within my house to make them feel comfortable. Also, I have a secured fenced yard they can roam freely. During the winter, I clear my backyard from any snow and create a path, so my pets and your pets can comfortably run, and use the potty. During the summer, I do not use any fertilizer, and I always maintain my backyard by trimming the grass, picking up after every dog, and watering my grass. I am always outside or on the deck seeing my dogs and other dogs' whereabouts. And, I am always making sure that the gates are physically secured before any dogs go outside. So yes, your pet will be around me and not locked in a dog crate. When I am visiting my client's homes, I read the instructions that the pet's owner requests. I make sure when I enter the home, the door is shut and locked, and greet my client. If he/she is in a crate, I'll take him/ her out and let him/her get some water, or food before we start our walk. Greet them with paw shakes, or friendly pettings. I locate their collar and leash properly and securely while we are inside the home. While on our walks, I update the pet owners with any quick videos or pictures of our walks. I make sure they get enough love and attention while in my care. I make sure my 4 legged clients feel comfortable and happy at all times to reassure them that they are in great hands as if they were with their owners. It is significant to me to gain my client's trust, so they enjoy our walks or time together for a short period of time, and by the time I am gone, they are full of happiness and content with their experience.

Information Melissa N. would like to know about your pet

Ahead of time, it would be nice to obtain any feeding instructions, environmental allergies (if any), duties expected to perform during my visit, administration of medicine (if any), is there a specific route they would like for me to take while walking my clients, and any other instructions before I leave the owner's premises. Also, how to get inside the premises.

A typical day

Under my care during our walks, I love taking them around the neighborhood, and if there are nearby parks, taking them to the park is a great way to destress them from being enclosed. If they can run, we will jog a little bit to burn some build-up energy within.
