Pet care experience
I have always felt this need to take care of animals. Since I was little I would bring stray dogs, kittens, birds, etc home because I needed to make sure they were loved with a warm bed, plenty of water and food in their bellies. I still volunteer & donate as much as I can. I work from home every day and have a 6 -pound and 13-pound mini dachshund dogs that are my babies. I also have a 10 year old mixed dog that is gentle and loving and a puppy at heart. They love ALL dogs and animals (just like his mom). My 13 year old did have spinal surgery recently, and this is the reason why I cannot take dogs over 30 pounds, unless they’re very gentle and chill. If you have any questions, please ask away! Your dog will be treated as if it were my own & loved every minute of the day!

I can't recommend Melissa ENOUGH! She was so wonderful, incredibly communicative (sent all of the puppy pics + videos I could've hoped for), gave our dog all of the puppy snuggles Luna could ask for and helped me feel so comfortable leaving our dog with her - it truly felt like she took care of Luna as if she was her own. Can't recommend her (and Ringo, Lewis, and Cooper - her pups) enough :)
Melissa is wonderful, easy to communicate with and sent me photos throughout usagi's stay.. Gave her cuddles, treats, and they went on walks!! Herr dogggs loved mine, and played together all day. I think what I loved most was the constant photos she was sending, I was missing usagi and she made me still feel like I was with my dog everyday?
Melissa did an amazing job welcoming my cat Luci and keeping me updated as he settled in. Although I was anxious being away from him, I could tell he was being well cared for. This whole experience was a wonderful surprise, and I will definitely be rebooking.

I let them run free around the house, my furniture & to sleep with me on my bed (potty trained, no fleas/ticks, vaccinated & clean dogs only please!) unless you specifically want differently.

No aggressive breeds. Max 30 pounds (unless the dog has a chill and relaxed nature). Vaccinations up to date. No fleas/ticks or contagious skin conditions. Clean (non-smelly) dogs only. Must be potty trained. And free of any diseases to keep my own safe.
A typical day
Working from home makes it easier to mix it up but we go on nice short and long walks, play around the house and lay on the couch to watch tv.

Availability
I work from home so the guests will have all the attention they need. We go outside on our fenced yard every 2 hours or so. We have a park just 2 houses away too, and a big open soace behind the house so lots of greenery if we want to switch things up.
