My name is Melissa and I just moved from California back to the Chicagoland area where I am from. I can provide excellent care for your canine and/or feline family members with a combination of my knowledge of veterinary medicine and genuine love for animals. I have been pet-sitting in California while working at a vet since 2015. I would now like to establish some clients in my new area! My dog is a bit of a "special needs" child and Melissa took great care of him. She let me know that she got to the house when agreed upon and when she was leaving. When I got home, the the dog was happy & house was clean; I just can't ask for more!
Melissa always takes care of my animals when I have to leave them. Not only does she stay at the house and keep everything clean but she truly enjoys my pets. She also has veterinary technician experience and is able to give my cat her subcutaneous fluids and both my dog and cat their oral medications. Vacation is so much better when you know you don't have to worry about your furry family!

I would like to know the dog's normal routine so I can keep him/her as comfortable as possible while you're away. I would also like to know if the dog has any special needs, is taking any medication, is on a special diet, has any allergies, can or cannot have treats, or if she/he has any other medical condition. In addition, I think its important to know if the dog does or does not get along with other dogs or people, where the dog is or isn't allowed in the house or outside, if the dog prefers not to be pet in certain areas, or any other specific personality traits.
A typical day
Your dog and I will do whatever activities you see fit. Dependent upon the age and condition of you dog, I can exercise him/her as much as you would like providing my schedule allows.

I currently work 4 days a week in the Lincoln Park area. I am looking for clients near there so I can drop in on lunch on the days that I work.
