Let me be your new best friend!
Pet care experience
Hey y'all! My name is Melissa and I’ve been working with and babysitting animals since I was 8 years old! Yes you heard that right! 8 years old. My neighbors knew and trusted me and I had a full clientele on my street. I want to be your fur children’s new best friend! I know it’s scary to leave them behind on trips, or even while you’re at work, those are your babies! I promise though I’m here to help you out and have comfort in knowing you’re leaving them in good, loving, protective, and responsible hands. I have background in Veterinary Technology, as well as 22 years of experience taking care of my friends, family, and neighbors furry best friends. Sometimes even scaly! So let’s meet up, introduce me to your babies, and start a new friendship! I also have both COVID shots. I know with life in general it can be RUFF so let me take some stress off your hands. I promise you’ll think I’m PAWSitively awesome and the cats MEOW. 😉😹 Dad jokes free of charge.

BOOK MELISSA. She is the BEST sitter I’ve ever used. Very reliable even with last minute requests. She provided so many photos and loved on my two crazy fur babies more than I think I could have! 1 million percent worth every dollar and more. I’ve found my permanent pet sitter in Nashville and will use her every single time. And so should you 💁🏼♀️
Melissa was fantastic during our trip. Our house is a handful with two special, senior dogs and a coop full of chickens. She was great with our guys and did a fantastic job with the chickens. Her communication was consistent and helpful throughout and went above and beyond with our babies. She was flexible when weather required her to check back in on the chickens, too. Highly recommend using her for your pet needs!!
Melissa was the BEST & took such great care of our 4 legged babies!!
Melissa is the best!!! I felt so at peace knowing I could book with her again so she can take care of my baby kitty.

I am highly vigilant on everything that needs to be documented. I encourage you to send as many messages, questions or requests to relieve your stress of leaving your fur kids at home. I always take tons of pictures and if you want videos just ask me! I myself have high anxiety leaving my fur kids when I leave town on trips, so I completely empathize. I am completely here for you. My goal is to always leave you feeling secure knowing they’re in good hands; well taken care completely and loved on as if they were my own family. My only rules are: Please have their schedule, tips/tricks, things I should know, feeding schedule and/or process written down with any emergency numbers in an area posted such as your fridge, taped on a door, etc.
Information Melissa M. would like to know about your pet
As I said previously, to ensure I can do the best job for your animals as well as for you: I need to have you write down on paper in a highly visible area such as your fridge, taped on a door, etc.: ? Emergency Phone Numbers ? Feeding Guide- How much they eat per meal, schedule, anything that needs to be noted. Such as but not limited to: favorite treats, allergies, things they try to eat like hair ties, shoe laces, etc. Basically anything I should keep out of reach of them that could be in your house. However if this is the case- Please hide those items prior to you leaving on your trip. This is your house, not mine. However if I should see one on the ground, of course I’ll put it in a safe area away from them. ? Favorite toys ?- So we can play, of course! ? Any anxieties and/or fears they might have- mailmen, other dogs/animals, certain noises such as fireworks like on the Fourth of July and what I can do to help them through that. ? Flight risks- If I need to be careful opening any doors, garages, or any rooms they shouldn’t be in- LET ME KNOW! FYI- I ALWAYS keep any dogs I take out even in their own backyard on leashes especially depending on size. I will never take any risks that could cause potential problems. I wouldn’t want anybody risking my fur kids lives safety- I’m never doing anything to risk yours. ? Any idiosyncrasies they might have! Let me know anything that might be helpful to care of them in the best way possible.
A typical day
Bottom line is this- I LOVE making new friends. So whatever I can do to make them feel at ease with me I’ll do. A lot of fur kids can be very anxious/scared meeting new people so my goal is to make sure they know I’m a safe person; one who is there to take care of, feed and spoil them while their parents are gone. I always want them to be happy to see me so I’ll do what I can to ensure that.
