Hello everyone, I am Melissa. I have been working as a veterinary technician for 5 years and providing pet care for a little over 7 years. I recently moved back to Illinois after many years of travel and military service. I am comfortable working with and caring for small dogs, large dogs, everything in between, cats, and many pocket pets. I am capable of administering any medications necessary, feeding, and exercising your pet(s) as necessary. I do work full time as a veterinary technician, scheduled as 4, 9-10 hour long shifts, so that may be something to consider for those inquiring about pet sitting. That said I do not feel that I would be a good match for young pets who may need extra potty breaks, meals, etc. throughout the day. If your pet(s) is used to being alone during the day (4 days/week) then there should not be any troubles. I also have one dog of my own, "Anela". She is an 8 year old mixed breed rescue. If your family is comfortable, I do like to bring her along. If not, she gets to stay happy in her home getting spoiled by her "Grandpa." No pet introductions would be made without you being present. If you are comfortable we would introduce them via leashed walks a couple of times prior to my stay. If there are any other concerns or questions, please feel free to contact me through rover.
