Melissa was terrific. She handled our rescue dog with patience and gentleness and son him over quickly. She wisely used our cat as a way to reassure him that she was okay. She left the house tidy and we would happily get her again to stay.
Melissa took great care of Cheeto! She communicated well with her updates and treated Cheeto with kindness and care.
Melissa is reliable, trustworthy and goes above and beyond. When we returned home from a 5 day trip, I could just tell that she took amazing care of our Koda. Also, from the pictures she sent daily, I could tell my dog adored her, which meant everything to me. It was apparent from the moment Melissa met Koda during our initial meet and greet that she is very personable and really amazing with animals. In addition, she is an excellent communicator who was very responsive and left our house immaculate. I highly recommend Melissa as a caring, responsible pet sitter.

Please let me know if your pet has any medical issues or special needs! I have experience giving dogs and cats oral medication, both professionally and as a foster home. I also need to know if your dog is reactive to strangers or other dogs.
A typical day
Playing with pets is the best part of this job! With dogs, I like long walks around the neighborhood (especially around the pond in South Boulder Park). With cats, I love to use laser pointer and string to tire them out.

I grew up with a cat, and discovered my love of dogs as a teenager. I have been caring for animals professionally for more than 10 years, and I have experience with cats, dogs, fish, birds, and reptiles. I've worked with dogs of varying sizes, some up to 70 lbs. While house-sitting for you I would be happy to get your mail, water your plants, and do other chores around the house as needed.
