Pet care experience
I am a stay at home mom in the Manhattan, KS area. I live with my husband, 1 year old son, and our own dog. I have a 70lb male Catahoula Hound mix named Kane. We live in a house with a fenced in back yard. I have experience pet sitting in the past and decided to start doing this again. I have worked with all ages of dogs (even some cats and pet rodents). I’ve given pets their medications and have worked with special needs pets as well. We are a very outdoorsy family so your dog will get a lot of fresh air and exercise (unless otherwise noted)! Our dog, Kane, is very social and loves meeting new friends! I can’t wait to hear from you!

Melissa stayed in our home with our 10 week (not yet fully house trained) boisterous puppy and our 14 year old senior dog. We were away for 10 days and Melissa was excellent! She met with us twice prior to go over all details, both dogs required medications and had special instructions. Melissa kept us updated while we were away and gave us daily feedback about each dog. We returned home to happy pups! I highly recommend Melissa, we were so lucky to have her stay in our home and take such great care of our dogs!
We had such a fantastic experience with Melissa! Our two senior dogs can be a handful but Melissa was awesome about making sure that they were happy and comfortable. She sent us pictures and notes each day that we were away and made sure to double check anything that seemed unusual. When we arrived home the house was clean and cared for just the way we would have. We will definitely be asking her to come again!! :)
Melissa was great. She sent pictures everyday, stayed in close contact and always replied quickly. And, when I got home my house was spick and span!
I was appreciative of Melissa’s willingness to see us and watching our dog last minute however upon retuning Home, the majority of the lights in the house were on and things just weren’t as “picked up” as I’m used to with other sitters. It’s not a big deal, but I do appreciate when my house is treated with respect and care just like my animals when a sitter stays over.

A typical day
If your dog were to stay with me at my house, I would take them to the nearby dog parks and walking trails. Fetch, belly rubs, and long walks are fun activities to do around the area! I am a stay at home mom. Therefore, I am available to care for your pup 3 times during the work day (morning, lunch, and afternoon) and all evening.
