Pet care experience
I've had dogs since I was seven years old. I have experience with older dogs and young pups. Comfortable with strong walkers and delicate little ones. We recently lost our dog of 11 years to cancer and aren’t ready to adopt a new friend. We will welcome your pet into our home as if our own. I work from home and our house has a large yard, ideal for nice days outside! I started sitting for Rover in 2017 and then took a hiatus for a few years while in a new job and new city but I'm back and ready to take care of your sweet pup! We live very close to the high line canal trail and love to walk over to Eisenhower park. Your pup will get at least two long walks per day with plenty of supervised yard time in between.

Melissa is as great! We set up a meet and greet before boarding to see the house and get my pup comfortable with the everything. Her and her husband were super sweet with my puppy. I received updates / photos a couple times a day while I was gone, and she was very accommodating when my return flight was delayed getting in. Would book again!

Our 1/4 acre yard is fenced in and we live in a great neighborhood for walks and other fun adventures. As far as rules go, we do not allow pets on furniture. We have an additional bed available so your pet can have a place to be and feel comfortable in our space.

As a former foster mom, I have experience with dogs who have some behavioral issues but it's always best to know those in advance. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
A typical day
My husband and I very active and we love to be outside when there's good weather. You can expect your dog to get plenty of walks and attention and maybe a few great games of tug-of-war!

Availability
We work from home so we're around pretty much 24/7 to take care of your pup. I'm a night owl and my husband is an early riser so between the two of us your dog will have plenty of attention.
