I have taken care of dogs since, I started walking?!! In all seriousness, Since I was 10 I started dog walking or watching other peoples pets overnight. I can walk, feed, bathe and administer oral medication with ease. My partner has also cared for animals for the better part of his life. I have worked closely with senior pups who are needing medication - so this isn't a problem for us! I work from home during the day, and both of us have evenings free! We have a sweet velcro Doberman who is friendly with dogs of all sizes - his bestfriend is about a quarter of his size! He is typically lounging on the couch watching a movie. He may look big, but hes honestly just a big baby. We live a block away from a fenced dog park if your furry friend is friendly, and a few blocks from the beach for a more scenic walk. Your dog will be treated like family while they're visiting - it will be there home away from home!

Mel is the ABSOLUTE best!! She and Mensha watched my pup Casey for 12 days. I was nervous since I’ve never been away from Casey for that long, but Mel quickly put me at ease. Her and Mensha treated Casey like a member of the family, and Casey loved play time with their pup Reese. Mel sent updates every day and sent pics of Casey having fun. So so thankful I found Mel, Mensha, and Reese to look after Casey while I was gone! Thank you!!
Thank you so much to Melissa and Mensha for taking such wonderful care of our girl Elke. From the first messages to the meet and greet and the stay, I felt so comforted that Elke was getting the best care! Melissa is really warm and easy to communicate with. She cared for Elke as if she was her own. I got lots of welcomed updates and pictures while I was away. Her dog Reese is incredibly sweet and very well behaved too. As a shy dog, Reese gave Elke space when they were first introduced and she quickly warmed up to him. I cannot recommend Melissa and Mensha enough. Thank you both again for looking after our girl 💛

Since working from home, I'm able to do walks with your pupper as well as play a good game of tug-o-war while working.. Don't worry, your baby will receive lots of love during their visit. I have lick matts, a basket full of toys, bully sticks as well as puzzle toys to keep them occupied in between walks. I also keep "dog tv" on during the day.

Please let me know if your dog has any special routines or allergies beforehand. As well, what their favorite treat is! Please bring any jackets/towels (good ol' raincity) for your pup, favorite toy (I also have some to share!) and bed if they're spending the night - so they have some comfort items while being away from home - or even just a blanket, Reese doesn't mind sharing his beds or the couch.
A typical day
We live in between a big dog park - if your dog is, dog friendly as well as near the beach for a more personable time if they are a bit more selective with other furry friends. If they are good off leash we are able to do (off leash) hikes or bigger more secluded parks & if they need to be leashed I have both 15ft & 30ft leashes so they can explore like they are off leash!

I currently work from home and get breaks every 2 hours so I can take your furry friend out for a walk on each break. My partner works a 9-5 out of the house but enjoys going on adventures or the park after work! We tend to start the day with a quick block walk before starting work, then during each break we go for a little potty break and once it hits 330pm - I am ready for an adventure whether its a park visit, a hike, a nice walk along the beach- I think I might be itching to get outside more than the pup is lol!
