Pet care experience
I have been loving animals my whole life, and I have had cats and dogs for over 25 years. I have even had birds, hamsters, guinea pigs and rats. Yes, rats...thats how much I love animals! I have had puppies from breeders and I have had rescue dogs and cats. I have had cats with medical issues and dogs with aggression issues. I have had significant success with learning how to train my own dogs utilizing positive reinforcement techniques. I have extensive experience with extra large breed dogs as well. With a background in human nursing and emergency response you can rest assure that I know how to act and react. I also don't panic in difficult situations. I love all ages of pets and I will care for them like they were my own. If you are interested in socialization I have a 2 year old female labradoodle who is non-reactive and very respectful if you prefer your dog to have a playmate or a walking partner for socialization. An advance meet-up to assure compatibility is required prior. I am certified in BLS/CPR in humans and I am an LPN/First responder. My background in these areas is relatable in many aspects to pet CPR and first aid, however I do not hold a certifications in either of those at this moment in time.

I can care for your beloved pets in your home, or take them for the long walks or extended playtime that they deserve. That could be playtime in the house, yard, a walk around the block or I can even take your pup to a local hike and really get good exercise in! I have a super friendly 2 year old labradoodle girl who is super respectful and non reactive if you would like to have your pup socialize with mine! An advance meet and greet to ensure compatibility is required prior to commitment. In will always care your your pets in a manner consistent with what you want or how you would like them cared for.

I like to get to know the basic temperament of the dog, likes and dislikes as well as what the dog is accustomed to doing, or even goals that you have for your dog. I need to know any medical conditions, special situations, things to avoid, allergies and vet contact info as well as any other relevant information.
A typical day
I love to go for walks and play with dogs. I can tailor my visits to your dogs temperament and energy level and what their preferences are. I can play in the yard, go for long walks, and work on basic training skills, socialization and exercise. PLEASE NOTE: I am BLS/CPR certified and I am an LPN and first responder. I am FAMILIAR with dog CPR, but I have no dedicated certification for dog CPR besides publicly available videos. My hands on training is on humans, but it does relate to animals on many levels. Please ask me any questions you may have pertaining to your situation and/or expectations.

I am hoping to make a flexible career change to helping others care for their pets. Pets add so much stability and love to our busy lives but sometimes life gets in the way and we cannot include them. I am here for those days. I am free M-F to help with your pets. I can do weekends as well, with advance notice.
