Hello! I I offer in-home pet care for families in the greater Kansas City area. My philosophy is keeping the animal in their environment and on their schedule prevents them from getting sick or upset while the family is away. I also provide daily check-ins customized to your furry friend's schedule. I have been providing this service in Kansas City for the past few years and I have references available upon request.

We had Melissa stay with our dog Jones a few weeks ago. Jones is skittish and since we rescued her from a shelter, she finds it a bit difficult to trust new people. We generally board Jones when we leave town but felt that it would be much less stressful for her if we didn’t need to. We wanted to keep her in the home for our Thanksgiving trip if possible. Melissa was fantastic with her! She came to the house a few weeks before to meet Jones, discuss her schedule, and show her around our home. Melissa sent us updates and photos of how Jones was doing beginning from day one. Jones took to her warm spirit quickly and they are now great friends. We look forward to using Melissa every time we leave town!
I would highly recommend Melissa Keck for in-home dog boarding. She is someone I can trust to take care of Tripp, my border collie. When you are a dog owner, it is very difficult to leave your furry friend at home when you go on vacation or a business trip, but I always feel at ease when Melissa is watching Tripp. I have taken him to boarding facilities before, and I come home with the full bag of food I sent him with because he gets so stressed he can't eat. With Melissa staying at my house, it makes Tripp feel comfortable and doesn't interrupt his normal schedule. It is always nice to come home to a happy, wiggly butt pooch who looks like he had more fun at home when I was away than when I am there!

Why I love dog sitting I can't remember a time I didn't love dogs. I grew up with a basset hound and then a Chihuahua mix. In college, I played volleyball so I didn't have time to have pets but I spent much time watching friend's pets so I could get my fix of puppy love. I don't have any pets of my own now so I can give my full attention to other people's pets. If I had my own, I don't feel I could fully support my clients.
