Having grown up with pets, I understand that they are truly part of the family and require enriching lives filled with interaction, play and affection on top of their basic needs. I will be happy to come and visit you and your pets for a free meet & greet where we can discuss your pets needs and any special requirements. I was so happy to find Melissa at relatively short notice. My dogs and cat took to her straight away, she was very thorough making sure she had all the information she needed. I had lovely updates on how the dogs were and it was obvious they love their new friend. I will definitely be using Melissa again

I put the safety of all pets first. When dog sitting I ensure the utmost attention is given to the dog at all times, being alert to their wellbeing and general disposition. I'll keep you updated on how your pet is doing and will contact you immediately if they display any behaviour that is out of the ordinary I.e. sickness or not seeming themselves. Their wellbeing is my priority and they are in safe hands.

Breed of dog, temperament, anything to be aware of when sitting or walking the dog, for example, if they are nervous around traffic or children, have any medical requirements or anything that needs to be monitored closely.
A typical day
While dog sitting I love to engage the dog in playing with any of their favourite toys. I'll let the dog lead the play and encourage them with simple commands like 'go fetch, drop, sit, stay'. For dog walks, we are lucky to have a lot of green parks and beaches to choose from in the Vale. I will usually try to walk the dog to the closest park or beach and keep the route consistent so that they get used to it and feel more at ease. If you would like your dog to be walked anywhere specific just let me know.
