Pet care experience
Over the course of my adult life I have cared for my fair share of pets- my own as well as others! I have offered pet services with Rover in Florida, Washington DC and now back in my hometown, Knoxville Tennessee. I am a professor at the University of Tennessee and enjoy a flexible schedule. I have a 2 year old Chihuahua- Chue and he loves to play with all animals. We have a very large fenced in yard and also take advantage of nearby access to the Ijams Nature Center and trails. We spend as much time outside as possible, but always make time for snuggling and cuddling. I will care for your animal as if it were my own, as well as giving you a variety of updates throughout their stay, via social media

Melissa, better known as Doc, is a very caring and responsible dog owner and animal lover. For as long as I've known her she has had two dogs and a cat and treats them like royalty. I would have no problems leaving my Kako with Melissa for any amount of time.

I have no preferences. I love all dogs. Of course, I would want to know if a dog is aggressive over toys, food, etc. or any special issues the dog may have. I now have carpet throughout my home so it is important that a pet is house trained.
A typical day
I will take your pet on walks on the various Ijams trails accessible directly from my home. We will also make sure to get other forms of exercise, such as fetch and chase.
