Pet care experience
I have dog-sat for multiple dogs/breeds for about 9 years. I have had my own rescue pup (4 years now), he is a lab/shar-pei mix. He is very friendly with other dogs and people and loves to play. My dog and I have participated in 8 weeks of training sessions and I am now experienced with training dogs myself. I have no breed preferences and love dogs of all ages. We live in a home in Longmont with a big yard and lots of space. We have endless dog toys (he’s spoiled). I work from home as a network freelancer so am able to watch pups on the side. If you’re dog needs training I can definitely help with that! We have 5 people in my home so there is constant dog attention. We do have 2 cats, but they stay outdoors.

Melissa was absolutely PERFECT for our Holiday sitting needs for Tess. She made room in her home to accept Tess and took extra steps to ensure that Tess was comfortable in her home with her other canine guest and her absolutely adorable dog, Leo. She met our needs perfectly including an early drop off and late pick up. I will definitely call upon her for future dog sitting needs.
Melissa is a wonderful dog caregiver! She has dog-sat for much of my family and keeps the dogs happy and safe. She spoils them by taking them to dog parks, long walks, hikes and play dates. Her own dog is playful and sweet and has learned quite a few great training commands. I would recommend her for some loving dog care!

I need to know if they have any unusual habits, and the owner's preference on how they want their dog to behave- (for example, if they are allowed on furniture or if the owner prefers them to keep down). I would like to know their dietary needs and if they are friendly with other dogs and people. I do not have breed preferences.
A typical day
I am familiar with several great trails around Fort Collins and Loveland. I also enjoy talking my own dog to dog parks and for walks around our neighborhood. I love playing fetch or even going for runs with the dog if they're in need of something more high-energy.
