Pet care experience
Hello! I have recently graduated from Loyola University Chicago. I work as a legal assistant in the Loop, as well as freelance theater work: but my greatest aspiration is to become a dog owner! What breed, you may ask? That's a really tough call, because I haven't met a dog I didn't love. Back home, I had always had dogs and cats, and I miss spending time with my furry friends dearly. I am diligent, organized, friendly, and every time I see a dog, I sing about it in joy. I have been dog sitting with Rover.com for about two and a half years now and am happy to do whatever it takes to make sure your pets are happy, healthy and well-tended to while you're away!

Thank you Melissa for taking such good care of both of our pups while we were away for the holidays. Thank you for sending photo updates daily and THANK YOU for giving Parker her special food and medication that popped up at literally the last minute. She is doing much better now than when we left. Melissa was easy to work with and good with our two pups. She was our dog/house sitter while we were gone for a weekend, and she kept us regularly updated on our dogs, so any worries about how they were doing were alleviated. We will definitely continue to work with Melissa when we travel!

A typical day
I'm a student who has had dogs (big, excited, energetic dogs) my whole life, and misses hanging out with my furry friends. Spending time with dogs energizes me, and I understand that dogs are like people in that they have individual needs and each require individualized care and attention. If you choose me, I promise to tend to all of your dogs' individual needs--just because you're gone for a few nights doesn't mean they should feel any less love!
