I have two beautiful pups that are 4 (Valkyrie, Blue-heeler) and 5 (Atlas, Pyrenees/beagle) years old. I have taken care of many pets in the past when a friend needed a hand- I’d be happy to do that for you too!

Our dog, Bingo, had never even spent a day in doggy day care when we decided to leave him with Melissa for a long weekend. We dropped him off and he immediately bonded with Melissa, her family and her dogs. He ran inside her home as we were leaving without glancing back. During his stay, Melissa kept us updated with photos of Bingo playing and relaxing. It was very reassuring to us to see that he was having fun. Pick up went smoothly as well. Bingo seemed sad to leave his new "home," and we know that he misses his new play pals. We will definitely not wait another seven years to leave Bingo when we travel, or just want a break from each other.
Melissa took excellent care of our pups. Communication was great and she sent daily photos. Our pups seemed happy there. Definitely recommend.

Melissa was such a blessing! We left our Puggle and Doxle with her for 2 nights while we were out of town for a wedding. Melissa sent videos and photos for us throughout the weekend, letting us know how our boys were doing. She was patient and professional, and she made us feel so comfortable leaving our pups with her. We loved how flexible and understanding she was with us. Our dogs had a good time, because when we arrived home, they slept a good portion of the day. I felt safe and sure about allowing our dogs to stay in her home. She made it a breeze, and we owe her the world and more. If you are looking for someone who is personable and you can trust, please use Melissa.

I would follow whatever makes you most comfortable in your home or on walks! For stays at my home I would require our dogs to meet prior to your pet’s stay to make sure our dogs are compatible. Atlas and Valkyrie are very open and love meeting new friends!

A typical day
On a typical day we will play together in our house and backyard- on leads or leashes since we are unfenced. We will also take a walk together and snuggle up on the couch. If our guest is over stimulated we can snuggle and get pets in our guest room away from my pups. My kiddos will also give lots of attention to our visitor; they love to play fetch and scratch bellies for our dogs!

Availability
I am a teacher so I could definitely take dogs for a morning walk or watch them so you can have a weekend getaway! On breaks from school I have more availability so when it comes to holidays, I’d be a great resource :) Now that we are back to school, Friday morning drop-offs for boarding need to be between 6:30 and 7 AM or anytime after 6 PM. My husband comes home to check on the dogs midday and give them time to play.
