I am a 39-year-old entrepreneur who lives in South Windsor, Ontario. Working from home or anywhere as long as I have a WiFi connection, I have the ability to have multiple side hustles. In this industry, it started with a friend's dad. In 2018, their 8-year-old (at the time) Maltese terrier developed diabetes. This husband and wife take off multiple times a year for vacation for 3-4 weeks at a time. They wanted someone recommended to them who could live-in. Prior to Covid, I have lived-in for them 5 times; 2-4 week stints, 1-3 week stint and 2-1 week stints. Their dog is high medical needs. He requires insulin shots every breakfast and dinner, thyroid pills every morning and night, and eye drops every morning and night. You can see why they wanted a live-in. Unfortunately during Covid they had to put him down. Because of this family, I decided to offer my services to friends, family, and acquaintances. It's easy for me considering I work from home and have a flexible schedule. I also know that I provide a service that provides a family peace of mind, not only for the care of their pets but the security of their home as well. I do not have a dog at home, but I do have 3 cats. My sister has 5 cats. My brother had 1 dog and still has 1 cat. I am very comfortable around animals. I am approaching Rover to expand my network and to offer help to people I do not know. I understand the irony of what I am about to write, but though I am a stranger to you the first time I sit for you, I will provide you the security of knowing your fur baby is at home in his/her own environment, as well as the security of knowing your home is occupied and looked after. I offer day services and to monthly stays. I have maintained my clientele who have had hourly requests to weekly requests. Also, note that I am a compulsive cleaner. Your home will be cleaner when you get home than when you left. For overnight stays, I just ask the bedroom/family room I will be staying in and washroom I will be using be clean. I make it so that you do not know I was even there. You should come home to a clean home; or a home the way you left it. There is no reason why you should clean up my mess. For health reasons, I will not live-in for those that smoke inside the home. I am willing to service the Windsor and LaSalle area at the stated rates. Should someone outside of Windsor (Tecumseh and rest of county, Chatham, etc) require a walker/sitter/live-in, prices will need to be negotiated to account for time and gas.
