Our little family can't have a full-time pet of our own, but have lots of love to shower on your dog for a few days. Two dog-loving boys and a dedicated mama, we provide a fun and energetic temporary home. I had a dog of my own for many years, and often babysit friends' dogs.

Just ask Betty or Cherry, who follow her around as if she was the "pied piper". (These are her dog friends who visit.) Melissa grew up with a dog and is totally comfortable with them. She wants her sons to enjoy the same bond. As busy as she is with her boys, her work and her volunteer time, she wants to expand her heart & open her home to a dog. Wisely, she realizes that owning her own is too much commitment right now. Everything she undertakes to do is done responsibly , efficiently and enthusiastically.

I have a fully fenced-in back yard for when your dog just has to get out. We go for walks at least twice a day as part of our routine. I respect your policy regarding treats and table scraps. If your dog prefers to sleep near humans, it is welcome in the bedrooms at night.

Please let me know if your dog does not interact well with other dogs. This is important to know when walking with children. Please make sure your dog is wearing an collar, even indoors. Please no dogs over 30 lbs, especially if they are exhuberant and like to jump.
A typical day
My boys and I usually walk to school every day, which is at least 30 min round-trip. There is a dog park not far away. If the dog is with us over a weekend, there is also the possibility to travel to our chalet in the Laurentians, where the dog can run in the forest and enjoy true outdoor life.

I work full-time from home, so am available most of the day to care for your pet. I live in a residential, pet-loving neighborhood with lots of parks. There will be lots of walks.
