Aloha! I'm Melissa and I'm new to Rover. I thought this would be a great way to gain experience and interaction with animals and make some extra income, as I am an animal science student at UH Manoa and love being around all different kinds of animals, but especially dogs. I have had animals since I was a kid and have experience around dogs, cats, horses, birds, rabbits, chameleons, cattle, cheetahs, lions...the list goes on. I also have training experience as a veterinary assistant and can administer fluids, give medications, or care for dogs with health ailments. I usually have early mornings or evenings open but am flexible and willing to work with you. I have a cat named Basil. She's pretty used to having dogs around and is friendly for the most part with dogs. I am looking forward to meeting you and your fur child! :)
