I’ve grown up with a large variety of pets my entire life—several dogs at a time, cats, horses, goats, rabbits— you name it. And yes, as a young child, they were all “pets” to me, no matter the role they played in our household. Now as adult, I’ve continued loving animals and have taught my own children how properly manage and respect a large variety of pets, whether ours or other peoples’. We understand, as with people, every pet has a personality and requires individual attention and care. For one pet that may be lots of excitement and physical attention. For others, that care might be allowing them to have safe, comfortable environment to be left alone and enjoy their own space. I’m not afraid to take my time to observe and get to know an animal, and I always allow an animal the time and space to get to know me as well. We recently said goodbye to our beautiful 14-year-old Puggle, and we continue to be loved by a very sweet 13-year-old Shar Pei, a rescued (from 2 neglectful homes) Bearded Dragon, a cranky hedgehog and a Betta Fish that would be cuddled if it were allowed. If you have a pet that you want to leave with someone you can trust- knowing they’d be loved, cared for, and receive the level of attention they’d like- I can be that caretaker for you
