Pet care experience
I'm an animal lover who has lived with pets my entire life. Growing up, I've cared for our family dogs, cats, birds, fish, and horses throughout their lives (as well as the occasional lizard or snake we nursed back to health). Since moving to Syracuse nearly 6 years ago for graduate school at SU, I regularly pet sit for several people I've met through my programs or acquaintances of friends. I currently live with my roommate's cat, Margo. And I'm always looking forward to pet sitting to get in some much needed dog time. I'm a very active person, who loves going for walks and runs outside.

Melissa was wonderful with my puppy. This was my first time leaving him with anyone and she was very kind to me with my pup mom worries. I came home to a happy pup and no issues what so ever. I highly recommend her. .
Melissa stayed at our house for a few nights while we were on vacation with our two dogs and my dad’s dog. She seemed like a responsible and caring sitter and our family member who came to dog sit the day after didn’t find any issues when he arrived. I think our dogs seemed to like her and I would book her again if she’s available in the future!
Melissa is absolutely amazing and our family will use her every time. From the first meet and greet we knew Melissa would be a perfect fit for our fur babies while we were away.
Melissa stayed one night with my year old golden doodle, Daisy, and I felt Daisy was well taken care of and was much more comfortable staying in her 'space'. I think Daisy enjoyed her time with Melissa as well. I was very comfortable leaving Melissa in my home, even though I had never done that before.

Availability
As I am done classes and working on research and writing, my schedule is very flexible. I often write with a friend in the mornings. Additionally, as I am a teaching assistant, I have one class, twice a week in the evenings.
