Almost a year ago now, I adopted a dog that I met and cared for through Rover. He is a fixed, fun-loving Shepherd mix that gets along with dogs and knows how to read their behaviour and adjusts himself accordingly. Due to unforeseen circumstances, his owner had to rehome and he thought of me instantly as Boof never wanted to leave when he came to pick him up. I was honoured and after a couple trial runs with Boof, I decided to adopt him! I also had miniature dachshunds growing up so I am familiar with small dogs and my sister currently has 8, yes 8 dogs! From wiener dogs to St. Bernard's so I am very comfortable with all breeds. I have helped her through two large litters of St Bernard/Greater Swiss Mountain dog puppies (see my pictures). We have a large fully fenced yard and there are also a couple dog parks only a short walk away or a quick drive to Mt. Doug or the UVic dog park. I will exercise your dog as much or as little as you would like!
