I’m a highly responsible, attentive, caring & communicative sitter available to care for your pets, plants, & home. I’m also a former science teacher, who shifted work to focus on the intersections of ecological & social justice. My schedule is highly flexible as I work from home. I have a lifetime worth of experience loving and caring for my own family pets from a young age. I’m excited to get to know the unique personality of your special one.

Melissa took great care of Mochi and Vivi and sent frequent updates and pictures. She seemed to really love them.
Melissa was very communicative and flexible while watching our recent senior rescue for a short notice housesit. our dog is very sweet but her potty schedule is still in an ebb and flow and she was really amenable, attentive and understanding of all that. would highly recommend hiring her!
Melissa is a very caring and intuitive pet caregiver. She has watched my very active and outgoing pit bull mix, Luna, on many occasions. When in Melissa's care, I know Luna will be safe and have a great time. Luna is ecstatic when she's able to go for a walk or stay overnight. Melissa is communicative, friendly, and reliable. I highly recommend!

Things that will be important to know in advance are: if they have any special needs/medications, if they are people/dog friendly, do they like to try to dart out of doors, do they have any history of aggression or biting? Unfortunately, I will not be able to sit for any dogs that have a history of biting or that are aggressive.
