I remember getting our first dog at 6 years old. We drove from NY to NJ to pick up our sweet Molly - a Flat-Coated Retriever. We trained her to sit, stay, roll over, hold a treat on her nose, catch the treat, and so much more! My mom did most of the training then, but when we adopted a new puppy into the family when I was 15, I did a lot of the training as well! In April of this year, I tied the knot with my husband. He has had a dog for the past 7 or 8 years, and he is fairly well-trained (both dog and husband haha!). However, Rhino was still missing a few basic training skills like heeling (well) and stopping and staying on command. I have been working with him for the last 3 months and he's doing great!
