Pet care experience
I first got into pet sitting for coworkers when I served in the Air Force, and fell in love with it! I separated from active duty 2 years ago and moved back to my hometown in South Carolina for a fresh start. I have rebuilt my life here and this will be my fourth year pet sitting. It's been a therapeutic side hustle and I take so much pride and joy in the services I offer, and am constantly learning. I'm very flexible, easy going, and affordable! I communicate with my clients daily with pictures, videos and fun updates of your fur babies. I have experience with administering oral medications, cbd, and senior dog care, and a great level of patience! Rates are tailored to clients needs and may increase/decrease, but overall I charge a flat daily rate for my services to make it easier for both of us!

Melissa was great! She took care of my two big dogs for a few days and was great about sending updates and pictures. The boys loved her :) Highly recommend!
I have used Melissa to dog and house sit for me a few times. She is so good with my crazy dog, sends me pictures and videos each day, and messages often. I have zero worries when she is taking care of things while I'm gone. She has handled short weekends and extended periods of time for me and always gives my pup and home the time and attention I ask. She even handled my pup over a holiday break when Delilah had a pretty complicated medicine regime. Melissa did amazing. She also picks up behind herself and leaves the house cleaner than she found it each time. Five stars!
Melissa is an absolutely incredible pet sitter for me and my family. I have two large dogs; a Boxer and an Australian Shepherd and Melissa is my first call any time I need someone to watch them. She plays with them, loves them, and takes care of them like they are her own. She also ensures to send pictures and videos of them while I am away. I would recommend her to anybody and everybody I know and I am so thankful I found her on rover.

A typical day
Pets are meant to be seen and heard, and they have needs just like us people do. Some things my dog and I do regularly to keep him (and me) happy are: - treats for commands - lots of praise! (he is such a good boy and he should know it.) - belly rubs - peanut butter lick mat - go for a walk! sniffing around outside will enrich any dog's day instantly. - snuggle up, watch a movie - sunbathe in the yard - zoomies. any place, any time I do not have toys as my dog doesn't care for them, but toys are encouraged!

Availability
Majority of the time I am home, so I am able to build my own schedule day to day and can be as flexible as I need to for your needs. All in all, I always spend as much time as I can with your fur babies around whatever I'm doing.
