Pet care experience
I am an active person who lost my pup last year, due to my current situation, I'm unable to own a dog, but miss having a dog to take on walks and hikes. I am 30 years old and my daughter is 2 yrs old and my partners son is 6 and is only with us part time. My partner is in his thirties and is also active and loves pets as well! We have a large house so larger pets wont feel cramped! We aslo do spend time outside enjoying walks, hikes, and trips to the beach. We work full time in kelowna and would be open to board dog(s) in our place during the week as long as they are house trained, and are ok with other pets, as we do have 1 cat. We both also know basic first aid (always have back up!), I grew up on a farm and have a large experience with injuries or wounds so if your pup has any issues that need to be cared for while your gone no proble!. I have done dog CPR but not in a course.

Melissa is a phenomenal person, when and with interacting with animals. She is very diligent and understands the complexity that comes with differently raised breeds and for the occupation of a dog and their potential role with in a home. She has taught me and my family many skills with adopting a rescue bully breed. Also with providing ourselves with the tools needed. While she has proven and out succeeded herself with our rescue dog, she has known my Bam a Pomeranian cross chihuahua and has provided guidance with him as well. He is 7 years old this year. I have absolute faith in her to know and provide guidance for any fur baby she would take responsibility for. Thank you. Amber B.
Melissa is kind, trustworthy, compassionate and takes on every challenge with a mind set that allows her to be an amazing companion to people and pets alike. She is incredibly selfless, she will put others needs before her own without being asked. She is nurturing, never passes up a learning opportunity and is a mentor to those around her. Food allergies, my dog had several so we are very capable on sticking to a diet. Besides that we love all breeds! Big, small, hairy, not hairy, from Pitt's to pugs.
A typical day
We have a large trail system on Lakeview ridge and are right near rose valley. We also do go for walks in kelowna in the evenings sometimes. We do also go for walks though downtown, the beach, and just around our neighborhood!
