I've had a dog since I was 4 years old. At times more than one. I've helped raised two Golden', one Pit-bull Terrier mix, one German Shepard and currently my 10 month old Yellow Lab mix. I attended obedience classes with my previous German Shepard and worked with a personal trainer for my Pit-bull Terrier mix. (Neither of my dogs were aggressive, I know it's best to socialize them young as well as teaching them to be obedient.) Because I've always had a dog, it's only been natural for friends to bring their dogs over for play-dates, take outings to dog parks and dog sit for up to 7 nights. I take jogs almost daily with my current Yellow Lab. This is a habit we started while I was still living in an apartment and she was a tiny puppy. After outgrowing the apartment, I moved into a house with a yard for her needs but we continue to take our jogs together.
