First dog in my life was a German Shepard who saw himself as my protector, I was 4 months old at the time! We then had a lab who adored people, and then when I was older, we got this mixed-breed dog. She was really shy, because she had been abused as a puppy. Over the course of 5 years, she totally blossomed into an outgoing, confident, gorgeous girl! She was very much my dog, and much to my devastation, she passed away this past summer, but I see these jobs with other dogs as opportunities to love on them like I would have with my own dog.
