I love all animals and I've raised many dogs and cats throughout my life. I've been fostering pups for Amazing Strays rescue organization for over 2 years. I've almost worked with The Tommaso Dogs and worked with many pups of all sizes and temperaments. I've taught puppies and adult dogs how to be amazing pets by providing a safe environment and worked on skills such potty training, leash training, crate training, etc. I've worked with a dog trainer consistently for almost 2 years now in order to hone my skills and to assist me with some of my most challenging foster pups.

Melissa was wonderful with my 2 dogs. They are both shy, rescue dogs and they warmed up to her immediately. She took excellent care of them!

Making sure your pet is safe and has a good time are my top priorities. I have a fenced backyard and a friendly pup that will keep your pup company while at my house. I also have a cat that loves dogs and acts like a little dog. He learns quickly which pups he shouldn't try to play with but will happily play with those who will allow him (especially puppies).

Important information to know ahead of time is whether the pup is on any medication or has special needs. It's also important to know the pups daily routine including feeding and potty information. I also want to know if your pup is reactive or aggressive in any way so a plan can be put in place to help address those issues.
A typical day
I like to take the pups out on a walk around the neighborhood and have taken them to the farmer's market, restaurants, and the beach. When I'm housesitting I play games with the pups and bring lots of fun toys like balls, ropes, Kongs, and other chew toys.
