I would not recommend this sitter unless you are looking for someone to watch your dog, with little, short communication and no interest in building a relationship. Melissa is a nice girl and I know she cares about dogs. You can see it with her own dog, Ollie and I feel that she took good care of my dog as well. The reason for the 3 stars is because I’ve had such a great experience with Rover sitters, sending lots of pictures, check ins, and updates about how my doggie stay is going. We were gone for nearly two weeks and I had to continuously ask for updates. I got a total of 3 pictures during his time with her. At the end, being this was the first time working with Melissa, I personally like to build a relationship for the future (we travel a lot, and this was shared ahead of time before booking). The enounters with her (by her request) need to be “really fast.” So at the final drop off, I was unable to get any information like, did he eat dinner, go potty, etc. I felt like I was an inconvenience to her. Melissa may be exactly what you’re looking for, but her style is not for us.

I have a rescue who is still very shy, so I was nervous leaving him with a stranger, but Melissa took such great care of him. Melissa sent me daily pics and updates and went out of her way to meet before roccos stay to make sure our dogs would get along (per my request). Definitely would recommend her!
