Pet care experience
Growing up with cats and dogs set the stage for my love of animals. I've cared for several cats and raised two golden retrievers from puppyhood...taking great pride in proper training (they're as smart as we train them to be), and lots of physical activity. Beach runs and mountain hikes were some of my pups' favorite activities. I currently have two mini dachshunds that have stolen my heart. Daily activity is a must along with proper feeding routine to keep their little bods lean and strong.

I've known Melissa for over 40 years and in all those years I've only known her to be loving, kind, and extremely conscientious with any animal she has cared for. Sky and Jack, her much loved golden retrievers, and now her two adorable dash hounds all loved walks on the beach, road trips to NH ...and basically just being one of the family! Melissa has also cared for our beloved Shadow girl. Shadow, Schnauzer Terrier mix, an adored member of our family! I could always count on Melissa to care for Shadow as one of her own! Melissa went above and beyond to make sure Shadow had her walks (and playtime), ate properly ...and basically loved on her. I would highly recommend Melissa! I enjoy time spent with dogs of all sizes and breeds. If there are things your pup is particularly fond of, I'm all ears! If there are things to avoid that might make your dog uneasy, of course I want to accommodate.
A typical day
Does your dog enjoy a game of fetch? Is he or she learning new skills/commands that we can practice together? Let me know, and these are definitely things we can spend time doing! And if pup is not camera shy, I'm always down to take pictures (I'm a photographer and find it hard not to!)
