Any size, any breed, I love em all!

Pet care experience

I have been dog sitting since I was 18 (I am 24 now). I worked in a dog daycare/boarding/grooming facility for over 5 years. I worked with every single breed of dog, every single size dog, aggressive, nervous, whatever it may be. It taught me an insane amount of knowledge about dogs physically and mentally. I also had over 10 different clients I did in-home sitting and home visits during the day. I still to this day have a few clients that I am able to work around my full time job.

Melissa has watched my 2 dogs for the past few years. My one dog is extremely active and requires a lot of attention. My other dog is older with medical needs. Melissa has consistently proven to be responsible, reliable and most important compassionate to both my dogs unique needs. I highly recommend Melissa.

Could not ask for a better caregiver for our Leo! Melissa has consistently given the most professional and reliable service over the years. I trust her implicitly, with both my beloved dog and my home. She goes above and beyond with our very high maintenance Shiba Inu! The peace of mind she provides us when we are away is priceless...highly recommend!

Melissa has been our dog and house sitter for several years now. I currently have 5 dogs, including one with special needs, and she is absolutely amazing with them. She is a true animal lover; she is dependable, caring and very responsible. I would trust no one with my fur babies like I do with Melissa. Five dogs are a lot to take care of, but I know she cares for all of them as if they were her own. When we go away, my mind is at ease knowing Melissa is with my pups. I have known Melissa for several years and I highly recommend her as a pet sitter. My dogs would attest to that as well as they absolutely love her.

I always make sure the parents and I are on the same level of care for the dog. Any medicines, any food allergies, any quirks, I like to know it all. It keeps myself and the dog safe. I also like to have a phone number to text/call if I have questions while sitting. I will not leave the house until I have an answer because it is most likely a need regarding the dog, and I will never leave knowing I did not 100% do my job. I take care of my clients dogs as if they are my own, and I wish more sitters had that mentally. For me, it's not about money. The safety and care of the dog is top priority. And of course, making a tight relationship with the family is always a key for me when it comes to watching dogs. Most of the clients I sit for currently will reach out to me on fb/text and see how i'm doing, and vice versa. Also, i'll make sure you recieve a TON of pictures/videos of your baby!

Information Melissa B. would like to know about your pet

What I find most important is aggression issues. While I can handle most aggression, getting injured on the job isn't exactly great, for myself or the pet owner. If your dog has food aggression, resource guarding, problems with his/her collar being touched/grabbed, certain parts of their body being pet, or even certain triggers, I would love to know ahead of the meet and greet. If they are dog aggressive or reactive to other dogs on a walk, please let me know ahead of time as well, that way I can coordinate a walk around this issue. And of course if they need medicine, make sure it is left for me and the right dosage is given to me.

A typical day

I always love when clients leave me ample toys for both indoor and out! Walking really depends on what the dog wants to do. Most of the time I follow the path they lead me to!

I work full time Mon-Sat 7-4. I am able to do early morning feedings/potty breaks as long as I can make it to work by 7. I'm out of work at 4 and can do walks/feeding/potty breaks after that as well on my way home. Weekends are a no-go.
