HI! I’m Melisa, and I love animals of all kinds. I’ve taken care of dogs, cats, horses, birds, cows, rabbits, chickens… you name it. Between growing up with animals in the home since I was a child, volunteering for many (MANY) years at a few animal shelters during grade school and college, and the pet sitting I've done since moving to New York (in 2009), I have a lot of experience with animals of all temperaments, sizes, and ages. To echo the above, I am comfortable with any size/breed of dog, and have worked with senior animals as well. It would be my pleasure to help you with your dogs and cats, whether that is for a daytime walk, a drop-in, or overnight. I love playtime and snuggle time equally, and can provide whatever you and your pet require. Thank you for reading, and I hope to meet you and your pup!

I would like to be aware of your home's safety measures (please don't let me accidentally set off an alarm!) if they are present. Also, during the cold weather, I'd love to know if your dog needs a jacket or booties when going on a long walk.

I’d like to know about any medications, preferences (heaven forbid I don’t use a favorite toy during playtime!), responsiveness to commands, and any other special circumstances. I would love to meet you and your pet ahead of time to get to know you both.
A typical day
There will be an abundance of what you and your pet require. Doggo needs a lot of running and playing? The local park and walking trail are our plan. Pup just needs company and isn’t as energetic? That’s ok, I’ll love on your pup and we’ll hang around the yard.

I work from home in Bedford Hills, NY. I go into the office every now and then, so am around most of the time! My extra curriculars happen around my dog walking and pet sitting schedule, so my schedule is flexible.
