Pet care experience
In 2016 I started off as a bather for a pet shop, after 6 months I took classes to become a certified dog groomer. In 2018 I opened up a grooming salon with my mother up in Brandon Minnesota called Fur Cutz, moved back to Coon Rapids in 2019 and just groomed for friends, family and neighbors. In 2022 I started working for VCA Pineridge Animal Hospital as a veterinary Assistant Manager, I have learnt how to care for animals in a totally different way and I’m very passionate about it.

Melinda was great. She was prompt, communicated well, and it was a great relief knowing our two Boston Terrier puppies were well cared for. We loved that she asked if we wanted a meet and greet before we booked, which was greatly appreciated. We will definitely book her again.

I care for animals based on their needs, I can be playful and get the energy out of a energetic dog or I can be calm or quiet with a dog who’s elderly or has disabilities. I have pets that I give medications to and dogs that I take for jogs. I know how to give Insulin and care for pets who don’t necessarily like people. Please let me know if your pet has any special needs I’ll be happy to accommodate!

I prefer to do meet and greets before hand to get a idea of how your pet and I click, what needs to be done and where things are located in the home, I’ll take notes during the meet and greets so I can go back on them when I do the check ins. You’ll be notified when I show up for the check ins and when I finish them it’ll be timed with a GPS on my end and you’ll see the times on the Rover card I’ll send you! I’ll also take pictures and inform you on how the visit went, if they ate, if they went potty, times I gave medication ect.
A typical day
A typical day for me (lately) is going to work at Pineridge, helping with X-rays, drawing up and helping administer vaccinations, holding for cat grooms, helping intubate pets before surgery, collecting urine, sending samples off to lab.

I am currently working at VCA Pinderidge Animal Hospital so my hours do fluctuate, I am just starting back up with rover as of December 2023. I will try to keep my schedule up to date on my availability as much as possible :)
