I embrace all breeds, regardless of size, and have extensive experience with various pets, including dogs with separation anxiety and senior pets. Cats and dogs have always been integral to my life, shaping who I am today. Childhood memories are filled with moments spent with our family dog and caring for my grandparents' animals. Pet hair was a constant companion, reflecting my deep connection with animals. The loss of my dog a few years ago was heartbreaking. Currently unable to have pets where I reside, I am grateful to have connected with Rover, meeting wonderful people and their pets. I feel truly fortunate. Melinda was awesome! I would 100% recommend her to anyone that needs a dog/cat sitter for some time away. She was in communication prior to our trip to ensure there were no changes and to confirm the dates were still the same. During our time away, she sent us frequent and adorable pictures of Holly (and Sly the cat) to show us how much fun she was having playing in the yard with the ball or just in the house hanging out. It was such a great peace of mind to know that someone was here to take care of her for me during our trip. I will indeed use Melinda again when I have any trip in the future. THANK YOU MELINDA!
Amazing! Mel is by far the best dog sitter we have used on Rover. She is a great communicator and our dogs absolutely love when she comes to pet sit whenever we have to go out of town. We have older dogs and she is great with medication and eating timelines. We will definitely be using Mel again.
Mel is the BEST! My dogs love her and I feel entirely safe to leave them with her. And she always leaves the house in nice shape.

I will look after them as if they were my own, providing all the love, attention, and care necessary for their well-being. Included Services during Pet Sitting: Walks are part of the overnight service. Cleaning of kennel/crate. Maintenance of litter box. Playtime. Preparation and serving of meals. Treats given with your approval. Brushing and basic grooming. Administration of medications. Handling of newspapers, mail, and packages. Bringing in/out garbage bins. Adjusting blinds, curtains, and lights for security. Watering indoor and outdoor plants. Before leaving, I will wash/dry any towels or linen used during my stay. Making the bed and tidying up the house. You will return to a clean home and a happy, excited pet!

A typical day
I am open to any activities, whether it's a trip to the dog park or playing fetch in the backyard with your furry friend. Don't worry, I haven't forgotten about the kitties. Even though they are quite independent, I love engaging them with toys on a stick and creating fun playhouses out of cardboard. IMPORTANT: During the hot summer hours, I prefer taking early morning or late evening walks to ensure your pet stays comfortable.

Availability
I work full-time from Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm. Although I can't be present at those hours, I will drop by during the day for midday potty/playtime. My employer understands my role as a pet sitter and is supportive and accommodating.
