I work from home, have a fenced yard, am walking distance to a dog friendly beach, and nature trails. I have had over 30 years of experience in owning and caring for dogs, and am Red Cross certified in pet emergency First Aid. I have owned, and cared for cattle, goats, horses, birds and cats. I have trained my own dogs, and I am quite comfortable with animals of all sizes. As an artist, licensed Real Estate broker, and retired elementary teacher, I'm also quite comfortable in working with people of all sizes :)) I have learned that regardless of our individual uniqueness as humans , the joy that a dog brings into our lives is universal. They can comfort, perform tasks, listen, make us smile, laugh, and help bring out the best in us, yet ask for so little in return. I am a mother of three kind and accomplished children, with three perfect grandchildren, and owner of a sweet, socialized, trained Australian Shepherd, named Panda. Panda is accustomed to and gentle with children, playful with pups, respectful to older dogs and small animals, and quite obedient My home has a large fenced backyard, surrounded by lots of happy places for your dog to explore. The AC is always set to a comfortable cool for those warm lazy dog-day afternoons. The home has many quiet soft places to relax, windows to look through, including a large glass sun room. It seems to be the favorite spot for dogs who prefer to gaze at nature than to romp in it. I board only one pet at a time, unless they are both from the same home. This allows me to give optimal supervision, protection, and individualized attention to your pet. This job is a labor of love, not an occupation.
