Pet care experience
Our family has been pet sitting cats and dogs for 8 years, plus house sitting. We are experienced in the care of dogs, cats, guinea pigs, fish, horses, and hens. We have played with, walked, and fed neighbors and friends pets and also taken care of plants, changed litter boxes, ran laundry, take out trash & recycling, check mail and picked up packages.

Melinda's dog sitting is a family affair. She has taught the family what is important to make a pet happy, which is easy for everyone, because all the kids love the dogs. They take care of their every need and go over the top to do everything that is needed.

At this time, I am not caring for pets in my home but I can come visit your animals in your home. First thing I do upon arrival is greet your pets by talking to them or petting them. I then make sure they have fresh water, that none of the pets have been sick or had an accident in the house, then move on to feeding and checking water, going for a walk if that is part of our plan. At home for our pets, our guinea pigs and golden retriever live indoors with us as part of our family. We clean our guinea pig cage weekly, clip their nails as needed, let them out to eat grass. Our golden retriever is walked daily and has regular play dates with a friend. We take her to the beach and park often with us and on shopping trips where she is allowed inside of stores.

I prefer to know about the temperament of the pet before I commit to a job, an in person meeting is best. It is also important to know if there are any medical needs or medications necessary for your pet, whether they require special foods or exercise.
A typical day
We would be going for a walk in your neighborhood. Typically I would come in and greet your pet by saying their name, petting your pet, throwing a ball or toy for play, then feeding your pet. Just let me know what your pet likes to do for fun!

Early morning and early afternoon is my best time to play, feed, or walk your pet. I am available 6-9AM, 2-4PM, 7-9PM Sundays through Saturdays
