Pet care experience
I am very compassionate about animals. I have turned my love for animals into a career. I am currently a Veterinary Technician/Nurse at a local Animal Hospital. Prior to that I have had the experience of working with dogs/cats in a mobile pet grooming setting as well as at a pet store. During those experiences I have had the pleasure of pampering, bathing and brushing , trimming/clipping nails, cleaning ears, cleaning kennels, walking and playing with mans best friend. I have rescued several dogs and cats and found forever homes for them. I can be flexible with my availability. I will provide meals, walks and trips to the dog park, if possible. I can provide baths as needed. I can take pets to vet appointments if needed. I know how important your pet is to you and I will be sure to provide the best quality care as possible.

Melinda was very nice and cute with my puppy! She loves dogs and take care of him as a baby. She also speaks Spanish that it is a must for my dog that didn’t understand any word in english.- I highly recommend her and for sure, I’ll hire her services again in the future.-

I understand the importance of keeping pets safe and healthy. Keeping all dangerous, hazardous , toxic chemicals, foods etc, up and away from pets reach. I use slip leads while walking to ensure pet are kept safe from slipping off of a collar/leash and running away from me and or possibly running into the road. As a veterinary technician I am able to recognize certain signs and symptoms of something wrong with pet.

Please ensure your pets are current with their vaccinations and are flea/tick free. Please let me know if there are any specific needs or behaviors I should be aware of with your pet. Is your pet friendly with strangers or should extra caution be used when approaching your pet. Is your pet fearful or aggressive. Is your pet currently on medications or have any health conditions I should be aware of or on special diets or food sensitivities. Any allergies your pet may have. How does your pet do on walks, does he/she have a tendency to try to escape. How are they with other dogs/people in public settings such as the dog park or just outside on daily walks.

I understand the importance of keeping pet active with appropriate and adequate exercise. I love to be able to stimulate your pet physically and mentally by playing , walking and socializing.

Availability
I currently work full time as a Veterinary Technician at a local Veterinary Hospital on Tuesdays-Thursdays and on Saturdays from 8am-6pm. I am available all day on Fridays, Sundays and Monday’s to walk, feed, bathe, help medicate, and even just visit and spend time with your beloved pet.
