Pet care experience
My name is Melina and I'm a student at DePaul University! I'm a dog lover. I live in an apartment that loves dogs as much as I do and currently have one puppy who just turned 1 year. I love animals like crazy!! I live right by the lake and my area is filled with people who love dogs and are always out walking them. A dog park is less than 2 blocks from my apartment and I'm alway there! I'm always taking my Romeo on long walks, and I would love to bring another dog with me so he has a friend! I will give your dog a bath before they go home, if that is okay, and don't be surprised if they sleep the whole next day because he/she will have so much fun playing with us! Currently, I have a summer internship at the Lincoln Park Zoo on Monday through Friday from 9am to 4pm. They will get a long walk in the morning and another one as soon as I get home. I work as a dog trainer at Petco Unleashed, so I will keep them stimulated with some tricks and treats for fun! Besides going on long walks, they will be able to play and cuddle all they want with me and Romeo while inside my apartment. Why I love dog sitting I have been a dog lover forever! I got my first dog 10 years ago, Dolly, when my mom finally adopted a dog for me after begging and begging. She has been my best friend ever since. She stayed with my parents because they have a large home with a yard and she has anxiety and would not do well with me in the city. I am in Chicago, living in an apartment, for school. I attend DePaul University, planning to obtain a biology degree and continue on to Veterinary School. I could not live without a dog of my own so I adopted Romeo a few months after settling in here. He was 2 months when I adopted him and now he is 1 year and 6 months! Time flies! Romeo is the sweetest big boy around. He will sniff and play but when a dog lets him know they've had enough, he knows when to listen. He loves big dogs and small dogs.. just like me! We would love to make some new friends! Meet my pets Romeo is my puppy who lives with me, so your pet with have a friend!! About my yard I do not have a backyard, but live by a big field, the lake, and a dog park, so we will be outside a lot! My experience administering medication Of course, anything that your dog needs, I will do.

Melina watched my dog for a few days and he had a great time! When I picked him up he was worn out from playing all weekend. I got regular updates and pictures which was really helpful and made me feel even more at ease. My dog has a medicine each day and she was able to give him that too.
Melina was great with our Goldendoodle. I knew that because when we picked him up my dog kept looking back at her and didn't want to see her go. Very pleased. She sent pictures and text messages to keep us updated on his well being. Would recommend her!

I would like to know about any habits they might have; what kind of food they prefer and when you usually feed them- I would like to keep their same eating schedule as they would at home. I would like to know where they usually sleep, what makes them nervous, and if they have any allergies, because I do use treats!
A typical day
Here's where we'll take our walks There is a path that leads to the lake, where everyone is walking there dogs. I will usually go there in the morning and after work for a long walk. Puptown dog park is 2 blocks from me and we will head over there to get all their energy out before going home in the evening to eat and relax. Then they will get one more walk before I go to sleep. Your dog's sleeping arrangement I would prefer if you provided me with a cage for them to sleep, IF your dog is too crazy or is not potty trained. If your dog is mellow and will just sleep in a dog bed throughout the night, he/she will be fine to sleep in a bed or on a blanket! If your dog is a sweetheart and loves to cuddle, so do I! So they could join me and my dog in my bed! Time I'll spend with your dog Besides work this summer, I will be home with your dogs!
