I have watched my Daughter's Dogs while she was away!! I have 2 Chihuahuas soon to be three! one of which was a dog that my Daughter Boarded that became very attached to me, so her Owners asked my Daughter if I would take her. I could not see her trying to adjust to a stranger, because they said she is not good with Strangers they were surprised that she took to me as fast as she did, Most dogs love me, mine were shelter dogs who took to me quickly they follow me everywhere , they were labeled as biters but now are just so affectionate!! I treat them just like my own babies. They have a great life now they are happy babies.
