Pet care experience
I am a 29 year old, animal loving woman who would L O V E to walk or check on your baby. A little background about me: My first dog, a family dog named Buttercup, was my whole world from the moment we got her when I was 9 up until she went over the rainbow bridge at the amazing age of 16 years old. Now I have three dogs, a cat, a bunny and a guinea pig. My oldest dog, Nevada, was my first experience with a dog all on my own without my families help and it was a huge adjustment but she is now in her senior age and I am adjusting my life with her slowing down and am cherishing the youthfulness she still has in her spirit. My middle dog, a shiba inu named Nobi, with dietary issues and IBD, was my first experience dealing with constant vet visits and eventually prescription food and giving a dog medication. He is now thriving and has the typical shiba attitude that they're famous for. And the baby, a rambunctious samoyed named Reiner who sheds more hair than I do! He was my first experience with grooming a long haired dog (and dealing with an unaltered male... whew!). My cat, a male tabby named Kyo, is my whole world in a little sassy body. My bunny, a beautiful calico lop named Benny, is a bundle of sassy bunnyness and cuteness all in one. And lastly, my guinea pig named Felix, is very shy but he LOVES cuddling (on his terms) and munching on fresh fruits and vegetables (and I love hearing his crunches). I love training my dogs to do tricks. When the weather is fair, we will take all the tricks outside and play with their catalogue of tricks in exchange for PREMIUM treats like cheese, baby food, and natural hot dogs. Otherwise, I love playing fetch, giving belly rubs, and exploring parks with my dogs. Thank you for considering me :)

Ive known Melannie for five years now and she is the most caring animal lover i know. She ensures all of her pets (dogs and hamsters), eat only the healthiest, organic foods, get plenty of attention, and tends to them with a specificity for their needs. She is gentle, careful, and loving of all animals. Most of all, i believe she is intuitive to an animals’ needs. She knows if an animal is worried,stessed, upset, etc. I’m not kidding when i say she will not hurt a fly Instead of just saying she possesses all of these traits, i think a story will better illustrate the type of person she is:: We were at North Avenue beach last summer, just wading in the water and enjoying the summer rays. Melannie noticed something floating in the water, which i didnt notice, and said it was a butterfly. I told her it was already drowned. She insisted it wasnt, and sure enough, it moved. She scooped it up in her hands and brought it out of the lake and to our towel. She gingerly placed in on the towel and proceeded to protect it from wind for the next 40 mins. Much to my chagrin, as i wanted to enjoy the beach. For 40 mins, she sat, holding this near-death butterfly on the towel and blocking the wind from carrying it away. Finally, it stretched out its wings and tried to take off. It failed over and over again. Melannie continued to hold and protect it, chasing it a few times into the long grass. Until finally it lifted off and flew away. If she did that just for a little butterfly, imagine how much she would care for your beloved furry friend. If you want someone who tryuly, genuinely cares for your animals. Look no further.

A typical day
If there are toys (and if it's allowed) we will play until we (the dog hehe) no longer has interest in playing. Any other tasks given to me such as feeding, walking, cleaning up will also be done. Before I leave, I will make sure that they will be in your home safely waiting for your arrival.

I currently work for Instacart doing grocery delivery, mainly from 8am-1:30pm but if needed, I will definitely look after your baby as my schedule is very flexible (I just need an alert in advance).
