I am a lifelong animal lover with lots of hands-on experience with dogs. I've been a volunteer at various shelters for the past 7 years. I currently volunteer with large dogs at Austin Animal Center.

This was my first experience using dog vacay. Melanie made sure to send text updates and pics of my dogs from her visits. This really helped me relax about the pups and their well-being. Melanie was easy to interact with. A positive and smooth experience overall!
I have never met anyone that is more compassionate and caring towards animals than Melanie. We have three dogs and every time she comes to our house she loves on all theee of them. Melanie is very reliable and responsible - you can count on her!! My dogs love her - I can't recommend her enough - she's the best!
Melanie has always been a pet lover and takes very good care of her pets. When one of our cats became diabetic, Melanie (at the age of 10) gave him insulin shots twice daily to help keep him alive for the next five years. Melanie had a very special bond with our labrador retriever Daisy who recently passed away (just shy of 15 yrs. old ) and taught her many tricks over the years. Melanie has also volunteered at several animal shelters and loves spending time with dogs and cats of any kind. I would strongly recommend Melanie to care for your pet(s), she will do a great job!
She has grown up amongst pets in the most pet friendly home I've ever witnessed. Cats, dogs, even a bearded dragon. She sat for my cat over Christmas and even sent us photos of our cat wearing an elf hat. To be able to get a big old Tom cat to agree to that takes a real connection and love of animals. Melanie is the best!

Availability
My dog of 15 years passed away in May and I am not ready to get another dog just yet. I am, however, ready to help other people take care of their dogs or other animals. I'm responsible, flexible, and caring. I have experience administering oral medications and injections.
