Hello! My name is Melanie and I live in the Del Ray/Alexandria area. I truly have compassion for all animals. Dogs, in particular, have a special place in my heart. I adopted my dear Ziggy from a local rescue several years ago, but he unfortunately passed away this year after losing a battle with heart disease. Missing a furry family member can be hard, but the possibility of helping to care for your pup and share my love with them makes me SO EXCITED! I've had pets since childhood and showered my four-legged boy with affection for six awesome years. I currently volunteer at a local animal shelter and have taken training on dog-language, to ensure I know what your dog is trying to communicate. Whether that be joy or stress, I'll know how to best care for your pup. There is nothing you will need to worry about while your little one is with me. I'd love to hear from you and answer any questions you might have. During their stay, I would be happy to send pictures and videos upon request. Happy sitter searching. I hope to meet you and your dog soon! Drop off for boarding begins at 3:30 on Fridays and pick up is typically by 9pm, but I am flexible if needed.
