Hello, I'm Melanie! I am a graduate of the Animal Care Aide program at NIC, and Animal Sciences and Holistic Pet Care certificate at ICS, Canine Communication certificate from New Skills Academy and employed full time with Sunshine Coast Helath Center. I was born and raised in Powell River, and after ten years, I finally moved home. I own a Jeep and when I am not working, it's trails, rivers, lakes, mountains and dogs for me. I love dogs, and always have. I try to make each dog feel as close to home as they can when they are with me and my family. Please assume if you do not get an immediate response, that I am either walking a dog, or out of the service area. I am interested in finding client(s) whom are interested in recurring weekly walks or check-ins, but open to one time services as well. Melanie is always amazing. I have full trust in Melanies care for my girls. I always recieve pictures and videos of the girls having an amazing time. Melanie is the best dog sitter we have for Finnigan, she takes the extra mile, makes Finnigan feel like part of the family, always updating and taking them out for hikes. Would always highly reccomend her for any visits.
Melanie is great and my dog, Squizzy, loves staying with her and her family. Melanie is very organized and the whole family pitches in to make me and Squizzy comfortable and welcome. I wish we had found Melanie when Squizzy was younger so she could take advantage of the wonderful long walks and hikes that Melanie does with the more active dogs. Melanie was able to cater to Squizzy age 's and limitations and still took her on adventures that were suitable to her and from what I could tell from all the photos Melanie sent, Squizzy loved every minute of it! Thanks Melanie for giving Squizzy a second home.
