Pet care experience
I have had two dogs in my lifetime since I was 11 years old. I had two wonderful girls, Melsie, a Coton de Tulear and Moki, a maltese. These girls were my whole world and my sweet Moki passed away at 12 years old in September 2023 and Melsie recently passed March 2024 at 16 years old. I miss my girls so much and have so much love to give to your pets as if they were my own! I am not quite ready to adopt again but would love to take care of and interact with more dogs until I am ready to open my home up to a new furry family member. I have a soft spot for the senior dogs and had a lot of experience with my Melsie who became blind and deaf in her senior years. Moki dealt with a lot of health issues in the end of her life, causing her to take multiple medications everyday so I have a lot of experience in administering oral medications.

Melanie is extremely caring for animals. She’s kind and thoughtful and has taken care of many pets, primarily dogs from just a few hours or for long trips. Melanie loves all pets of different shapes and sizes. She is reliable and has experience in caring for pets ranging from puppies to senior adults. Melanie was asked to watch our family dog (Toby), and knowing that Toby has the tendency to run away/squeeze out of doorways to escape, Melanie made sure to take extra precaution to ensure Toby's safety. She is also excellent around big dogs! I have an 85 lb. Golden Retriever who loves it when Melanie visits/is watching him. We never have to worry about our pets under Melanie's watch, and are confident with letting them stay overnight with her. She is kind, caring, responsible, and has excellent communication skills. Our pets are our family and Melanie treats them like her own.

She's an extremely responsible and dedicated caregiver who goes above and beyond to ensure the well-being of every dog she looks after. Melanie's work schedule, attentiveness and knowledge make her the perfect choice for pet owners who want their furry friends to receive the best care possible. She's also very accommodating and understanding, always willing to work with pet owners to meet their specific needs. My 2 chihuahuas love her and I have no doubt that Melanie will provide exceptional care for any pet entrusted to her.

Availability
I currently work full time remotely Monday through Friday, typically I work 5am-1:30pm but my hours are flexible to fit your needs! On the weekends I typically have a free schedule when I am in town.
