I am an avid dog lover, and I especially love large dogs. I enjoy taking care of them and helping others care for their four legged family members. I have more than 15 years of both formal and informal experience caring for numerous breeds of dogs. I have loved and cared for dogs of all sizes nearly my entire life. Some breeds include German Shepherd mix, Labrador mix, hound mix, Spaniel/Poodle mix, Husky mix, Chihuahua, and even wolf hybrid. Each member of my immediate and extended family has always owned a dog that I have cared for and interacted with on a daily basis. I consider dogs as family and treat them as such. I am highly skilled in reading dog body language and strive to give them the best care possible. I acknowledge that owners care a great deal about their dogs, and I strive to give dogs the care and attention they need and deserve. I also love to help others who share the same passion I have for dogs. I have gained formal experience with dog care during my time as a PetsHotel Pet Care Specialist at PetSmart, and as a volunteer at two animal rescues. Even though the work was exhausting and a bit strenuous at times, I loved every minute I was able to spend with these dogs. Seeing how happy they were, and receiving gratitude from their owners on a daily basis was very rewarding. I am comfortable with all breeds and sizes of dogs, and experienced in dog walking, bathing, grooming, monitoring, feeding, cleaning up messes, playing with dogs, and any other special care requests that owners may have. I am always very attentive and detail oriented as needed. I am well organized and punctual. Furthermore, safety and health are always most important to me. I am a recent graduate, and recently completed a full-time 10-month volunteer service program with AmeriCorps NCCC FEMA Corps, assisting FEMA and other agencies with Hurricane Harvey and the Northern California Wildfires response and recovery operations.
