Pet care experience
My name is Melanie, and I am currently grad student at Sacramento state! I used to work at a dog groomer, so I have lots of experience with dogs of all kinds. I also know how to bathe and cut dog nails! I also love to run which is great for dogs with lots of energy! I have been dog sitting for many years and even have a dog of my own (he is very friendly and loves other dogs). I am a responsible and thoughtful person who will make your pet’s experience very comfortable and fun while you are away. I also have a car for transportation if that makes things easier:)

Melanie did a wonderful job looking after our dogs and home over the holidays. Super reliable and responsive and loved seeing all the photos she sent us while we were away.
Melanie house-sat and cared for our cat and dog recently, and she was fantastic! My 95 lb German Shepherd is a HANDFUL. She is leash-reactive with other dogs, and generally high maintenance. Add to this the fact that she has a chronic wound, and Melanie was willing to learn wound care and manage it expertly for several days. You know how stressful it is leaving your pets with someone else? Melanie communicated ahead of time, spent 1.5 hours at our house for a meet/greet/orientation, and I started to relax. Then while away, I got regular updates, questions when appropriate, lots of cutie photos, and truly settled into a stress-free getaway knowing she was on top of everything. My pets were so sorry to see her go. Really looking forward to having her back again!!
Melanie was absolutely amazing! Not only did she agree to watch my dogs last minute she was flexible enough to watch them longer when I had to extend my trip. She sent me pictures of the dogs throughout the day including ones from every walk. She played fetch with them and gave them lots of attention. She took care of my dogs the way I would if I were able to be with them. The dogs loved her and I was so happy I found someone that I could trust with my pups.

Availability
Currently I am working from home and have lots of free time! I love to get outside everyday. If I have a dog with me my routine entails staying at home and walking around the neighborhood. The only time I need to leave while sitting would be for a couple hours twice a week for class.
