Pet care experience
I’ve lived with dogs for most of my life, and have missed being around them since moving to NYC. My experience ranges from training puppies to providing end-of-life care. I frequently help my friends with their pets, and would love to extend my services to the broader community. I’m very active so tiring out pups is no problem! I also have a car and am able to pick your dog up and drop them off.

Awesome sitter! Stevie seemed so happy and taken care of while with Melanie. He got the opportunity to walk, play catch, and go outside. Would definitely book again!
Otis had a great time with Melanie. He cried when she dropped him off and was like, "Mom who?" before he passed out for several hours. 😂 I booked with just a few days notice and Melanie responded promptly. She made sure it was ok to take Otis out to a previously planned dinner, as she did not want to leave him alone for too long. Seamless pick up and drop off. Overall great experience.

I like to know the contact information of the vet in case of an emergency. I also like to know if I should uphold any training routine with dogs and what their normal commands are.
A typical day
I take dogs out first thing in the morning. Depending on the dog and their needs, we either take a lengthy walk or go to off leash hours at the park. During the day, I’ll take them on a short walk during my work breaks (every 2 to 3 hours or so). After work, we’ll go on another lengthy walk. If it suits the dog, sometimes so jog with them.

I work from home, allowing my schedule to be flexible. I’m also in the city most weekends. I take frequent walks throughout the day, regardless if I’m caring for a dog.
